Project Timeline

Planning and Funding / Finance

  • Investigate location by conducting pre-feasibility study
  • Define purpose and estimate massing
    • Submit Letter of Intent to apply for funding for full feasibility study
    •        By December 1st, 2021

Design

  • Develop systems diagrams
  • Construct conceptual design with UW Facilities Engineering Services process partners
    • Feasibility Study
    •        Request funding for feasibility study ($12,000), for
      •               1) surveying the land and investigating geotechnical considerations ($7,000), and
      •               2) any additional potential costs we may incur in completing a feasibility study, including hiring technical experts on an as needed basis ($5,000)
      •        By February 7th, 2022
      •        If needed, apply for additional funding for permitting, hiring technical expertise
      •        By April 1st
  • Develop schematic and detailed design
  • Consult the UW Design Review Board
  • Pursue necessary permitting
    • Form a Request for Proposal (RFP)
    •        Use cost estimate developed with UW PDG to submit request to CSF for full project cost funding
    •        Likely by December 1st, 2022

Job Order Contract (JOC) for construction

    • Outline a 12-week span for construction to take place during appropriate building window (includes start-up pieces, lining up labor, trenching, etc.)
    •        Likely during Spring - Summer 2023
