The purpose of a greenhouse is to create a controlled environment, so the most important factor in design is determining how a stable temperature will be preserved within the greenhouse as the seasons change. Here in Seattle, temperatures are low in Spring and Fall, and as the climate continues to change, warm in the summer, requiring both extensive ventilation and good insulation. We have balanced these two needs by creating a highly adaptable north wall greenhouse.
